Police are searching for the perpetrators who stole Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s family car

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s family car was stolen from outside his home in northern Poland, despite being under round-the-clock surveillance by state security services.

The Lexus was taken on Wednesday in the city of Sopot, as political attention centered on a Russian drone incursion into Poland’s airspace.  

The vehicle was later found by police abandoned in a parking lot in Gdańsk, the city neighboring Sopot, its license plates swapped in what investigators believe was an attempt to avoid detection.  

The perpetrators remain at large, media outlet Radio ZET reported.
